Approaches
The port of walking can be accessed around the clock. The harbor is accessed through a north-south pedestrian trench with a depth of 2 meters. The endurance mark is a red float barrel with a top designation. The marking up to the harbor must be strictly respected as there is low water on both sides outside the marking. The harbor also has 2 red lighthouses leading in course 178.5 °. There is a speed limit of 3 knots in the harbor basin.

The port of Gåbense is located on the north side of Falster. The harbor protrudes from the coast.

The entire port area has free internet connection. The harbor has a functional clubhouse, sanitary facilities, an open terrace and an enclosed terrace for all sailors. Furthermore, the harbor has a public toilet which can be used by anyone. The nearest grocery store is located 2.6 kilometers from the harbor and is a Daily Use in the town of Orehoved.

The harbor has a total of 6 bicycles that can be borrowed, so it is possible to get around. In addition, there are bus services to Vordingborg, Nørre Alslev and Nykøbing Falster.

There is a really good bathing beach right by the harbor.

Gåbense Færgegård consists of a three-storey building that is protected. The ferry yard is located close to the old crossing point between Zealand and Falster. The ferry yard has served as a crossing point since the 16th century. The ferry yard has had well-known overnight stays - including HC Andersen and several royals.

Ports charge

2018: Both under 9 meters in length cost DKK 140 per day. Both between 9-12 meters in length cost 150 kroner per day. Both over 12 meters in length cost 160 kroner per day. The port levy is paid for by self-service. You pick up a self-service envelope in the box at the clubhouse. Signs on the clubhouse and on the bridges tell how to behave. In the evening, the port officer will ensure that everyone has understood the instructions and paid the port fee.
