Hørbygaard is an older manor house. The manor has had changing owners throughout the ages - including King Christian VI. In 1748, Hørbygaard came through marriage to the genus Castenskiold and has been in the same genus since. Today Hørbygaard is run as ordinary agriculture.
Hørby Færgekro is located at a ferry that can be traced back to 1730. In the old days, a ferry route existed from Hørby to Holbæk. In 1968, the inn burned down, and the silk was rebuilt in a modern flatter style. Hørby Færgekro, among other things, acts as a site in a single section of the Rejseholdet, which has been shown on TV.
