Nolds Havn is beautifully situated in the middle of the canal to Næstved harbour and town. It is within walking distance of the shopping centre in Sct. Jørgens Park with various shops, bank, post office and pharmacy. Bakery and kiosk are 200 and 300 meters from Nolds Havn. Næstved first became a port city in 1935, when the canal was excavated. Until then, Karrebæksminde was the port of Næstved.

It is a short walk to the centre of Næstved, about 1.5 kilometres to the centre from the harbour.

Bath, washing machine and dryer tokens are available for purchase.

Næstved Zoopark is an exciting animal park. Opening in April 2011.

Gavnø Castle is located about 6 kilometres from the harbour. Gavnø is one of Denmark's largest cultural heritage sites and offers adventurous experiences for the whole family. It is a historical experience to walk among the beautiful old paintings and artefacts at the castle, but Gavnø is very much a contemporary experience, offering many more attractions. You can enjoy take-away food in the picnic area in the castle grounds, where you can also barbecue if you bring your own grill. In 2011, it is open from 2 April to 2 October, and the admission price per adult is DKK 95 and for children DKK 55.
