Approaches
When approaching Pythagorion the first thing to see is nine windmills on the mountains. Be aware that the wind can be harsh when the melting wind blows. There may be narrow inside the marina, so it can be difficult to do port maneuvers. The port's staff are usually helpful in getting the boat safely to port.

Samos Marina is a modern marina located just east of Pythagorion. On the weekends during the high season, there can be a lot of activity, because it is most often the day of the boat rental companies.
In the marina there is a supermarket where all basic necessities can be purchased - they also have some boat equipment. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but there are not many other options to supply. There is also a café where you can enjoy ice cream, light food and drinks.
