Aarø is located in the Little Belt at the entrance to Haderslev Fjord. There are about 170 residents on the island. The island's buildings are largely gathered in the idyllic Aarø City. The town has narrow streets, stone fences, fences and beautiful family farms.
The harbor is located in lovely quiet surroundings with good facilities. And not far from the harbor there is a nature camp site and a park golf course is established next door.
Café Brummersgård is located approximately 200 meters from the harbor. Here you can make provisions or eat in the beautiful café. There is bike rental in the yard and special actions are organized (see their website)
Aarøgaard Cafe 'is also in the middle of town where good chromand ect is served. Good if the stomach is bigger than the scrotum.
Aarös Pearl is located on the harbor with all kinds of barbecue and other dinner dishes. Grocery items are available in smaller selections and it is possible to order fist breakfasts and rent golf carts for a tour of the island.
Årø Winery with its shop is always worth a visit together with a visit to Aarø Galloway farm shop with sale of Ø meat and yarn and knitwear
The wildlife reserve - Aarø Kalv is about 30 ha. The area has both an exciting plant and animal life, where the flora alternates between climbing vegetation and shore meadows with low midge, stalked creek and beach salad . Consideration must be shown when traveling in the beach meadows - especially during the breeding season.
Both under 8 meters in length cost 110 kroner a day. Both between 8-10 meters in length cost 120 kroner a day. Both between 10-12 meters in length cost 140 kroner a day. Both between 12-14 meters in length cost 160 kroner a day. Boats between 14-20 meters in length cost 250 kroner a day Boats over 20 meters in length cost 350 kroner a day.
