Approaches
Birkholm harbor can be accessed around the clock, but only in bright and visible weather. The depth of the sailing channel and the harbor is 2.0 meters at mean water level. Follow the harbor's marked sailing, two light masts show in course 29 °. At times, the sailing channel up to the harbor can be sandy so that the entry does not have a depth of 2 meters all the way in from the Dark Depth. Show consideration for ferry traffic in the area.

Birkholm is located in the archipelago's largest low-water area between Tåsinge, Strynø and Hjortø. Birkholm harbor is located on Birkholm's southern side. Birkholm is a small island and only a few people live on the island all year round.
The harbor is small and does not offer many facilities. Drinking water can be collected at the assembly house - directly opposite the new shower room. In the summer there is a small kiosk next to the assembly house where you can buy ice cream, sweets and bottled water. The assembly house dates from 1912, and was built by the island's farmers. The assembly house is approximately 800 meters from the harbor.
