Be aware that entering the harbor can be quite dangerous in strong winds with hard seas. The breakwater just at the entrance to the harbor is only just visible over the waves. The innermost part of the harbor is usually occupied by local boats.

Chania Marina is located on the island of Crete. The harbor is cozy and the surrounding buildings are built in Venetian style.

There is water and electricity on the quay. A service building with shower and toilets is located down an alley behind the waterfront restaurants. There is also a gas station in town. However, fuel can also be delivered with mini tanks on the dock. Use VHF channel 85 to get the latest local weather forecast in English.

Chania offers many experiences. The old town and harbor offer many restaurants, shops and cafes. Chania's landmark, the lighthouse, is located at the end of the long pier. It's definitely worth going all the way out to the lighthouse. Unfortunately you cannot enter the lighthouse. Another attraction is Chanias Maritime Museum. You will find the mussel at the entrance to the Firka Fort at the very end of the pier in the harbor. With various historical maritime things, ship models and stories, a strong story of a Greek maritime story is told.
