Approaches
Be aware that there can be harsh winds in the bay, especially when the Meltimia are blowing. When blowing from a southerly direction, the waves can become uncomfortable in the bay. If there is space in the inner pool you can add there, otherwise you can go in with the bow or steer towards the southern pier. Be aware of large waves from large ferries that can make the water uneasy outside the basin. The bottom consists mostly of sand, seaweed and pebbles.

Finikas is located on the southwestern part of the island of Síros, which is part of the archipelago of the Cyclades. The port is a medium sized port.
It is possible to get fresh water on the dock and if you are lucky, you can also get shore power. Fuel can be delivered to the quay with a mini tanker (tel. +30 22810 42400). There is a building with toilets and baths on the harbor - it can sometimes not be as clean again. More options for provisioning, just as there are some restaurants where you can feel hungry and thirsty. Here you can also rent a car.
There are buses to the town of Ermoúpolis, 13 km from Finikas.
