Gråsten Harbor is located in Nybøl Nor by Flensburg Fjord, and you have to cross the Egernsund Bridge to enter the harbor. The port is a small municipal port, and has only the most basic facilities. Gråsten town originated around Gråsten Castle, and today about 4,200 people live in Gråsten.

Every year, Queen Ingrid used the castle as a summer residence until her death in November 2000. Today, the castle is used by the royal family as a summer castle.
