Approaches
The harbor is very small and most often filled with local boats. The entrance is about 2 meters deep. If it is blowing from the south-east, there can be troubled water in the entrance, which can be a little difficult to get past and enter the harbor.
Details
A very small port in connection with the village of Iria. Iria was founded by Cretan refugees under Ioannis Kapodistria's rule in the mid-1700s. However, the area has been inhabited since ancient times.
Each year in May, an artichoke festival is held, with the city's main income being the cultivation and sale of artichokes. During the festival, the artichoke is celebrated as the main ingredient in the food, and traditional Greek music and dance are celebrated. There are restaurants in Iria
