Sønderborg Marina can be called around the clock. Note that the sign changes at Christian the X's bridge. Christian the X's bridge is 30 meters wide and has a passage height of 5 meters. Boats taller than 5 meters can get the bridge opened for free. The bridge guard can be contacted on telephone 74 42 39 39 and VHF channel 16. An electronic switchboard shows when the next opening of the bridge will take place. Sailboats must use engine when passing the bridge. The harbor's southwestern pier is lighted with a green light. There is a speed limit of 3 knots in the harbor basin.

Sønderborg Marina is located southwest of the island of Als. The harbor is in a scenic area by the beach and forest.

The center of Sønderborg is approximately 1 kilometer away - however, it is possible to make provisions in the harbor area. There is a children's playground. A barbecue area that may be used by guest sailors. There is wireless internet in the port - search for wireless network and log in to Freelink - log in with your email and use if necessary. your boat name as code.

The code for toilets and bathrooms is available when you pay port fees.

Sønderborg Yacht Club has a home port in Sønderborg Marina.

Attractions

The museum at Sønderborg Castle offers a number of historical collections, where the emphasis is on history after 1800. Explore the Schleswig wars, World War I and World War II and South Jutland's reunification with Denmark. Sønderborg Castle is itself a beautiful building dating back to the 13th century. Christian the 2nd has been held captive at the castle.

Sct. Marie Church is Sønderborg's landmark. The church was built in the year 1541. There is a beautiful view over Alssund.
