Attractions

Anne Hvide's farm is Svendborg's oldest secular building. It was built about 1560 by the noble lady Anne Hvide - married to Jesper Friis of Rødkilde. She died in 1577 and until 1769 the house was in the possession of many nobles. In 1912, the building was handed over to the Svendborg county museum, which was undergoing a restoration, which included, among other things, Anne Hvide's coat of arms. Today you will find the Svendborg Museum in the old building.
