Approaches
Vilsund harbor can be called at around the clock. There is a speed limit of 3 knots in the harbor basin. If you come from the north, however, you must be aware of Vilsundbroen's opening hours. The Vilsund bridge has a passage width of 30 meters and a height of 4 meters. The bridge opens free of charge from sunrise to half an hour after sunset. Traffic is taken into account when opening the bridge. The Vilsund Bridge's guard can be contacted on VHF channel 16 or by telephone 97 93 11 43. The following lights may appear on the bridge: 1 red light means transit is prohibited. 2 red lights mean that ships from the north can cross the bridge. 3 red lights mean that ships from the south can cross the bridge.

Vildsund Harbor is a small cozy harbor located immediately south of the Vildsund Bridge.

Guest sailors are welcome to use the harbor's clubhouse. Admission to the clubhouse is handed out upon payment of harbor dues. Port money and the purchase of tokens for bathing takes place in the OK tank, which is located about 100 meters from the port. There are several cozy barbecue areas and a playground at the harbor. The harbor can be a bit turbulent with easterly winds, and there is some traffic noise from the road over the Vildsund bridge.

Vilsund Bådelaug has its home port in Vilsund Harbor.

Attractions

Skyum Bjerge is a beautiful hilly hilly landscape with lots of heather. Skyum Bjerge is located approximately 4 kilometers south of the harbor. Here are several burial mounds from the Bronze Age. The area is protected.
