Svaneke havn

The Port of Svaneke is located on the east coast of Bornholm. Svaneke has been around since the 13th century as a fishing village on the east coast of Bornholm, and the city has especially been able to enjoy the good herring fishing in the Middle Ages. Svaneke is also Denmark's easternmost market town.

The harbor is small but very cozy. There are about 40 guest seats, but the local boats have first place in the seats. Please note that a port between and inner harbor and outer harbor is closed by onshore leaching.

Svaneke offers fine dining and good shopping, and restaurants and cafes attract visitors directly to the quay. About 200 meters north of the harbor you will find one of Bornholm's largest smokers, which throughout the day has hot, smoked herring - all in smoked fish otherwise.

The three-legged water tower in Svaneke was designed by architect Jørn Utzon. The water tower was built in 1952 and is cast in iron concrete. The inspiration for the water tower came from old sea marks. The water tower is marked on 20 kroner coins, as part of the tower coin series.

Svaneke Smoker is definitely worth a visit. Here you can find everything in smoked goods and fish delicacies. You can find the smokehouse in fishing street 12, or go for the smoke chimneys.

Svaneke Bryghus opened in 2001, and a microbrewery, and the island's only brewery. Moreover, beer has been brewed in Svaneke since 1750. Svaneke Bryghus is located in one of the old grocery stores, which is characteristic of Svaneke city as Denmark's easternmost market town. The four-year-old farm dates from 1750 and is located directly by the square in Svaneke. In Restaurant Bryghuset, exciting beer is brewed, in "small format", when it all started. The brewer uses the restaurant's brewery, as an "experiment" where new beer types are developed and tested. Here you have the opportunity to taste beers that are not available elsewhere and which cannot be purchased bottled. You have the opportunity to taste a unique beer and enjoy it together with a good solid meal.

Bolchefabrikken Svaneke Bolcher can be found in the square in Svaneke. Production takes place according to the old craftsmanship principles, where emphasis is placed on quality, both with taste and appearance. A safe hit for both children and adults.
