Approaches
The harbor can be navigated day and night, which is a good sign both in the course and in the harbor. Keep to starboard after entering through the entrance. Continue until you are at the bottom of the harbor (which is quite large), then you will come to Nordre Inderhavn, which serves as the Port of Light.

Details

Thyborøn Harbor is lovely in the east wind. Then it is warm and comfortable. There is a good sailing pier right by the marina, which is located far to the sea. The mill is the perfect place to set up the grill. You have the west sun in, and at the same time shelter from the wind. The harbor is rarely filled, so there is always a place to get. If it is a west wind, you probably should not just pick one of the seats in the western part of the harbor, because the sand fills up above the clay wall and down on the boat. If the wind blows from the west, choose the center outrigger or a pile shelter in the shelter of the red barracks. There are almost always boats that lie and catch their breath after a trip across the North Sea, or boats that are waiting for good weather before heading over the sea. It's always nice to have a chat with the crews from Norway, the Netherlands or Germany about their experiences in the Limfjord or other Danish waters. If you are into cheap gourmet fish then visit the restaurant La Mar which is a 10 minute walk from the harbor. It is possible to buy diesel and gasoline at the gas station on Harboørevej. The harbor is highly recommended, it is always an experience!
